Tara had a sleep over

Tara really wanted to sleep over at April's but we all know how that would have ended up. I would get a call in the middle of the night to go pick her up and then we would be stuck with her sleeping on our bedroom floor for the next few months because she is scared. Instead, April stayed with Tara. I was trying to get them to settle down last night. They were so full of giggles. It was cute. I ended up turning on the TV and letting them watch cartoons thinking that this would actually settle them enough that they would conk out. I peeked in there at midnight and took the picture. Tara was finally out but not April. I turned the TV back off, and it was only a matter of minutes and April fell asleep. Is there a parenting secret here (to get your kids to sleep) that I am not aware of?

Guess what I awoke to at 5am? Giggles. So I am thinking, that I am exhausted, why aren't the girls? Their giggles are so cute, I love it. I got up and told them to try and go back to sleep. We were finally all out of bed by 6am. Today will be interesting. They both might end up needing a nap. Sorry Jen, I hope April is ok for you today.
