Dinner with Ron

We went to dinner with our good friend Ron. He just retired from work and is moving to Oklahoma. He will travel to Michigan often because he has family here but we will miss him anyways. We asked him where he wanted to go for dinner and he had no preference so we took him to The Grill House. This restaurant encourages you to cook your own food. Weird huh? So here is Ron cooking his own steak at the restaurant.

When we told him that we wanted to take him out to dinner. He had no idea that we wanted him to do the cooking.

You can see Terry in the corner picking out the spices that he wanted for his steak.

Everyone was able to choose their choice of meat out of the freezer.

The grill has several areas so multiple guest can all cook at the same time.

There are several chef's on stand by to give us cooking tips or help us if we are doing something wrong.

The chef did tell the guys that they couldn't poor their beer on the grill. Yeap, I'm glad they didn't blow the place up.

Don't they look like they know what they are doing?

Next thing you know, Triston and Tara want in on the cooking action. Here they are making garlic toast with LOADS of butter.

They made a lot of garlic bread. Probably around a dozen slices.

It wasn't very easy to make. All of the butter caused high flames and this lead to burnt toast.

Neither Triston nor Tara would try one once we got back to our table.

Dinner turned out yummy and we all had a lot of fun!
