All
Triston wanted to do today was to go fishing. I asked him if he could wait until his dad got home because I'm not the greatest at fishing. I can put a worm on and take a fish off (most of the time) but I'm not into the slime and really didn't want to get any of that on my camera :)
Terry got home and was happy to take us out to Muskrat lake. If anyone wants to visit their public access, be aware that there is a small stretch of that road where the speed is reduced to 25 mph. Yeah, there was a county officer waiting right there. He pulled us over but didn't give Terry a ticket (lucky ass). Anyways, we got the boat out onto the lake and sped
across the lake to his secret spot.
Triston and his dad made the decision that whoever caught the first fish got to be captain of the boat and do the driving. So then, Terry caught the first fish.

Then
Triston thought we should change it to the first one who catches a fish that can be kept because Terry's was too little to keep. Then Terry caught two more and
Triston dropped the competition and left it as he was going to do the driving. That's all he really wanted anyway.

We were out on the lake for only a few hours but it was very peaceful. I love the scenery.

We only had one major tangle.
Triston wrapped his line around the trolling motor.

It was quiet for the most part. Well, except for
Triston making the
occasional noises.

I guess he was trying to attract the fish with his popcorn popping noises. He asked us if fish were
attracted to popcorn popping. Silly boy.
We wrapped things up at about 8:30 and headed back to shore, with
Triston's assistance of course.
