Today we got the call from Cam's regular doctor regarding the MRI results. He has torn ligaments and a torn meniscus. We are now waiting for an appointment with the surgeon.
We have a lot of worries right now. We are not sure if he can drive for his training since that leg is braced to be straight and his legs are too long to fit in any car with it being extended. Driver's training is HUGE for him. He has been waiting for this moment most of his life...seriously. He went in to driver's training yesterday without his leg brace because he was scared they wouldn't let him continue. I told him today that he HAS TO keep it on, no matter what. The instructor didn't ask any questions. So, we are good for now.
Cam thinks his life of baseball is pretty much over. I do know that this season is out of the question but he is thinking about next year too. He's not sure if he will ever be the same. I told him he would be better than it was before. He has always had knee trouble and now that the left knee is braced, his right knee is in a lot of pain because it has been working double time. I'm just hoping that this one injury doesn't lead to a lifetime of trouble.
