End of Summer Games

We decided to do one more summer games event before the kids all head back to school. The first one was such a blast and the kids were excited enough to invite many more kids. We hosted these in the empty lot next to our home. I took way too many pics. 398 to be exact. Anyways, I will only post some of my fav's but I will share them all with the other moms. They are not going to be perfect but these are fun snapshots of all the fun that we have in the Ida Street neighborhood.

We did the traditional underwear relay.

When the race is close, sometimes its easier to pick up and carry your partner.

You know things are going to fall apart when one partner is running faster than the other.

They played a game of toilet tag.

One person is "it". When that person tags someone that have to sit in the style of a toilet and hold up their hand. Their hand is the flusher. Someone who has not been tagged and is not "it" has to come along and sit on the human toilet and flush the flusher hand to be free. This was so funny to watch. Check out the four on the left. They are all frozen as toilets but they have different styles of squatting.
Then they played a slap hand game. They had to "ha" with every slap and had to add one to the amount they received. Rules stipulate "no laughing" which was impossible for them.

Tara was at the end and right before the slap got to her she stood up and quit the game. She knew there was no way that she could handle the task without laughing.

Cameron was out right away and tried to use intimidation to get Steven out.

This game required 2 lines from the water tub. The first person filled their cup with water and had to keep it on their head and dump their water in the cup on the head behind them. The very last person in each row had a bucket to fill. The first one filled wins.

That game turned into a giant water fight.

The next game was for partner's. One person shoved the marshmallow's into the other person's mouth. Whoever had the most in their mouth at one time won.

Not sure why but Cam and Taylor were the first team out. I know it wasn't the size of his mouth :o

Back by popular demand...the egg toss.

Tara caught this one but it broke once it hit her hand. Ewe.

Then they all ran the obstacle course.

Next they had to travel with their balloon between their backs.

The last game of the evening was a number draw. Each number belonged to a food. Lorrie would put whatever food they drew on a cracker. If they ate it, they stayed in for another round. The last round was worth the most points but every food was combined into one large bowl. Some of it included peas, mustard, chocolate, cereal, carrots, and more.

Triston took a smell of his and then forfeited.

Tara got to lick the chocolate bowl after the majority was scrapped into the main mixture.

I've decided to leave these photos smaller because there are so many. They should load faster that way.
