A Very Tearful Day

Jessica and Lee left this evening to go back to Alabama where they live with their mom. We gave them hugs before they left and ended up crying.
It's so hard to say goodbye. Tara cried while we were there, then she cried all the way home, then she cried when we came in the house, then she looked for a neighbor to give her helpful words but they were all gone for the evening, then she cried some more.

Triston and Tara both formed a really close relationship with Jess. They both Love her dearly. Triston gave her his favorite stuffed animal to take back with her.
Triston is very upset but he shows it different. He tries to be a big boy about everything. He cried when we first got there but then quickly composed himself. Now he's just mad. The very few words that he did say came after we walked in the door back at our house. He announced that he is taking off the clothes that he is wearing and will not ever wear them again until he gets to see Jess again. Then he took his mad little self to his room without another word being said.

Lee didn't want his picture taken. I had to sneak a few of him anyway.

Every time I look at Lee, I get a younger version glimpse of Terry. I think these two look nearly identical with age being a factor of course. They have close to the same personalities and Lee is very hyper just like Terry was as a child. Anyways, I will miss his sweetness and his enthusiastic little personality running through our house.

When we got home, I gave everyone a few minutes to process everything and be mad at the world for the way things are. Then I went upstairs and gathered my little ones and took them out to the pool to swim. I had to do something to get their minds off from everything. They talked about it a little bit more when we first jumped in. Then we got busy trying to clean the pool. When we looked up, we noticed this.

Can you see the happy/smiling face? It is a reminder to us to be happy for the time that we were given and to be happy because we will get to see them again soon.

Ahhh...how sad! The poor kiddos! It's cool that they have such a strong bond.

Beautiful photos! Love the last one!
