He Didn't Even Cry

Triston attended a baseball skills day at our high school this afternoon. Its put on by the high school coach and some of the high school players. Its really a helpful experience for any young player. They get to work in small groups and they have the advantage of working with big kids who have been training for years.

Everything was fine when I dropped Triston off. He was very excited. I hung around for the first hour and watched him proudly. He has been playing baseball since he could walk and joined his first team when he was 4. He knows what he is doing out there.

Terry picked Triston up right on time. Imagine his surprise when he seen this:

So, one of the coaches ran over to tell Terry what happened. He told him right away that Triston didn't even cry. Typical men. I would have said, "It's okay to cry." Anyways, apparently Triston had the mitt in position as the ball came speeding right towards his face but decided to look away instead of watching the ball come to his mitt. Let's just hope this doesn't discourage him from playing this summer.
