Water Park Fun

The Big Dip Water park turned out to be a lot of fun. There were undersea paintings on all the walls. I wish I could paint like that. Here is one section of a wall.
It took Cam a little bit to warm up to the pool.

Check out their slide.

The line for the slide was pretty long most of the time but the kids didn't mind.

Lots of smiles coming down the slide. Here's Kensey plugging her nose in preparation.

Triston tried a few different positions when coming down.

The rules state that the kids have to go down feet first. I don't know what in the world happens to Tara when she goes down but she always starts out feet first and ends up getting flipped around when she hits the curves. It might be because she is so little but I'm not sure.

She doesn't always end up in that position. Sometimes she looks like this:

Sometimes, right at the end, she rotates herself too look like she was supposed to all along.

The kids also did some swimming in the other part of the pool.

Connor and Mikaela hung out in the shallow area.

Triston and Tara played at the playground for a little bit.

Triston and Chet head cautiously into the whirly pool. I'm not sure if that is what its called but that's what the kids called it. It is actually a strong current that carries them around and around inside the circular pool.

They all agree...They had a great time!

And then it was time to go :(

Hi Marcia,

My name is David Bolton. I was doing some research for a project that I was working on and I was looking for children on slides. I was pleasantly surprised to see a picture of the Holiday Inn Big Dip that I had painted. I hope you and your kids had a good time (it looked like it) It's always cool to hear about people seeing my paintings. If you would like to see some of my other large scale paintings, you can email me at dboltonmurals@aol.com
