Kindergarten Musical

Tara's Kindergarten class has been working on their own little musical that we attended on Friday. The program was directed by Mrs. Licavoli, the music teacher. She's an amazingly talented teacher.

We started by gathering in the gym. Even the older kids were able to leave their classrooms to come and watch. We found Triston right away. He had to introduce his friends to all of us, including Addie, Jamie and her family, Mabel and her family, Chet and Maria.
Kensey was one of four who lead the song "Looby Loo"

The next song was called "Tommy Tinker". Mrs. Licavoli introduced the song and went on to explain that every child gets to play instruments in her class and she went on to say that she has a few here that seem to have a talent and that's when she introduced her instrument players. She introduced Tara playing the Soprano Xylophone along with 3 other students. I was so proud of Tara. She played it perfectly.
Terry and I was wondering if she has a musical talent also. We were riding in the truck the other day when a song came on the radio that she hadn't heard. She was listening really carefully to the introduction and then informed us that they were only using a guitar. She was right. Then they introduced a ting sound and she got really excited and announces that they introduced a baracka to the music. Wow, I was so surprised. She might not be correct about the baracka, I don't know but the fact that she is picking apart music at the age of 6 is really impressive. I guess I should also mention that this girl loves all music and listens to music every single day, multiple times a day.

The next song was "Angels We Have Heard On High".

Tara loves performing.

They were full of giggles and energy for their next song. Its called "Horse and Buggy" by Leroy Anderson. Tara was the buggy and her friend was the horse. When they received their cue, they got to run through the audience and and all around the gym.
Then, Tara played the role of Thunder for "Spring" by Antonio Vivaldi.

Aren't those chicks cute?
